Keeping a Logbook
How to start | Introduction Letter | Keep a logbook | Report from mentor | Outline of presentation at school | Work Experience Overview | Example Report
While away during your week it is important that you keep a record of what you do, who you meet and your impressions of what you experience. This will help tremendously in preparing your presentation for later and it will form part of your senior school TTO portfolio. A logbook is basically a diary where you record activities in the order they happen and give a summary of your thoughts at the end of each day. This does not need to be pages of writing but if you want to write in detail then of course you can and that is also most welcome.
Set out your log with dates and start by describing what your work experience is about and how you came upon the contacts. Describe you trip and keep souvenirs of it such as tickets and other documentation. This ‘scrap book ‘ idea can be extended to include some photographs particularly of where you were and the people you mixed with. This log book will be kept as a record of your work experience and will contribute towards your TTO senior school certificate with which you will be presented in 2009 at your graduation. |
