WE |
Well, first of all ‘Don’t panic!’ Work Experience (known from now on as WE) is something that is going to be fun, enriching, memorable and most of all absolutely and completely YOURS. No-one will have a WE like yours and you can make it as great as you want it to be. You are responsible and you are in charge.
Now relax and start thinking…. And talking, lots of talking… to parents and family, friends, neighbours, teachers, people at your sports club…. Start searching the net for ideas, but above all ask yourself what do I like doing?
|
|
ARE YOU...? |
Are you sporty? Arty? A carer? Keen on cooking? Culturally-minded? Socially-minded? Business-minded? Environmentally-minded? Interested in science? Health? Nature? Travel? Children? What do you do with yourself? Play an instrument? Enjoy computer games? Love music? Dancing? Reading? Would you like to try something totally different from anything you’ve ever done before?
What organisations does your family belong to? These could be a starter. Do you know anyone who lives in an English speaking country or maybe works in a completely English-speaking environment, they could be a lead for you. Does a big city appeal, or rather a quiet country spot is what you prefer. The great outdoors, are you involved in scouting?

|
WHERE? |
Gather for yourself a few possibilities, don’t limit yourself to one and go to the net and start searching. We will publish a list of links to a variety of organizations: charity work, animals, hospitality, business, children, health, arts and theatre.

|
WHEN? |
Take a look at these dates before you start to contact organizations.
